Strong pace with Bird On A Wire and Tiff's Lad driving across from their wide draws. ESTA MIRANDO (8) finished off strongly to miss in a photo finish over 1400m last start at Pinjarra, with the rise in trip now looking right up her alley. Pike sticks with her today and the wide draw doesn't hurt with her racing pattern. Looks set to go to another level now. TIFF'S LAD (12) was dominant as a 40-1 chance last start at Belmont, leading and kicking away to win by 4.3L. Suspect they'll adopt similar tactics this time and he can prove that it wasn't a flash in the pan. STRAPPING PROPHET (7) continues to knock on the door of a victory, finishing a very close runner-up in his past couple. Gets some weight relief here as well as an easier assignment. Can finally go one better. OUR MATE ARCHIE (2) can improve again third-up into the campaign and return to winning ways. CHOLLIMA (1) is ticking along nicely and can't be discounted. SUGGESTED PLAY: Esta Mirando looks the one to beat.
