Keen speed battle, with Saint Honore, Kazeno Runner and Natural Rise prominent. MIKKI FIGHT (8) was in contention on the corner and finished a neck away from the winner in second when resuming last start at Funabashi over 1600m. Has never been out of the money in four starts at this trip, including two wins. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. Will play a major role. LORD COURONNE (5) raced on the speed and kept going to score by 3.5 lengths when resuming last time out over 1900m in the G3 Heian Stakes at Kyoto Dirt. Drawn to take a nice trail just off the speed. Taking on a better line-up this time but he has the ability to mix it with them. OUTRANGE (3) went forward and proved too strong last time out, scoring by a neck over 2100m at Nagoya.
