Fitter and looks sure to play a big role. EUGENIUS (1) was a determined maiden winner last time out, scoring by a neck over 1200m at this track. Nicely drawn and he looks sure to be in the mix. EL CAPITAN (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1300m at this track, beaten 2.25 lengths into fifth. Big chance after a respectable effort last time out in open class. This suits. CAPTAIN CLEVER (8) improved last time out, finishing 1.75 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 1200m at this track. Well placed to play a part again.
