Genuine tempo with the speedy France's Boy leading the way. FRANCE'S BOY (1) is a mighty old galloper for the Hickmott & Riggs camp. Lines up at start 175 and has produced efforts throughout this prep that can more than measure up. Will undoubtedly spear forward from his wide draw and give a bold sight. Good luck catching him if he steals a few slow sectionals through the middle. ROBERT THE PUSS (2) has a bit of his namesake about him as he seems to be forever running on. Will drift back again from the draw and hope they overdo it in front. FIGHT FOR FREEDOM (9) improved nicely second-up when sent forward but just tired late. Strips fitter on the rapid turnaround third-up and draws well under the very light weight thanks to the 4kg claim. Not dismissing. COVERT WITNESS (7) caught the eye fresh but has since struggled. Should find this a bit easier fourth-up and is in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: France's Boy to lead all the way.
