Genuine tempo with Conchiero leading the way. THE REPLICANT (10) has savaged the line at both runs this time in work, the latest last Wednesday when he was beaten under a length over 1300m at Warwick Farm. Placed at five of six third-up runs and his top three strike rate over this trip sits at 77%. Looks an each-way bet to nothing at around $7.00 in morning markets. CONCHIERO (2) raced on the speed and dug deep to hang on for third when resuming over 1200m at Canterbury a fortnight ago. Genuine four-year-old who will be far more at home over today's journey. Sure to be in the firing line for a long way. WINSTON HILLS (4) was ridden in front and ran a far better race last time out over 1400m at Randwick. Very fit now and is not out of contention back in midweek company. APPLAUD (5) hasn't been too far away in his two runs this prep. Drops in grade and should be peaking now. PERFECT PICTURE (8) scored impressively for new trainer John Thompson at Canterbury last start. Big step up in trip is the only query. SUGGESTED PLAY: The Replicant each-way.
