Empress Of The Sun to take up the running at a moderate tempo. EMPRESS OF THE SUN (9) found her right race here last time out and won well, settling just off the small field and coming away to score by two lengths over this route. She finds a very similar race and the 3kg claim for Jabez Johnstone is a huge tick. LIGHTENING MANN (3) did well to win third up at Swan Hill, stepping up to this trip and coming clear to score by a length. He can continue to progress and draws nicely. NEARCO FROD (7) has placed in both runs back and should be ready to peak now up to 2400m on a relatively quick turnaround. Look for him late. SHULTZY (10) relished the heavy going at Geelong to score dominantly last time and comes into calculations if it's very wet again. OMAMORI (11) was behind Shultzy last time and is in the mix again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Empress Of The Sun to win.
