PAKENHAM   29 May 2025

GOING: S

Nathan Takes On Luke S BM70 Handicap (Chute) 1000m

Track: Soft 5   Rain (Max: 15)   Rail: True Entire Circuit.

Expecting a strong tempo with I Miss Margie, Bleuet De France and Scampi going forward ahead of Core Concept and Commands Success. A few key scratchings this morning sees SCAMPI (4) as a short priced favourite. He was disappointing as a $1.85 favourite at Caulfield last time out but excuses were offered up when riding a hot speed. That was a strong race though and he's absolutely good enough as evidenced by a 5.25 length win prior. If he brings his best he'll win. JEWEL BAY (2) resumes for a new yard, now with Andrea Leek. He's a consistent sort who was running well in some handy races last time in. Can land in a good spot here and be strong late. SUBSIX (3) resumes. He can mix his form a bit but has performances against good opposition that have him firmly in the finish here. CORE CONCEPT (6) was a winner at Bendigo fresh last preparation and is worth watching the market for a guide. SUGGESTED PLAY: Scampi to win.
