Solid tempo from Makhachev, Rose Of Bayeux and William The First battling for the lead in a high-pressure contest. WALKONTHEWILDSIDE (5) was given a gun ride when winning her last start over 1400m on this course. She returns from a spell and having won fresh-up on debut over 1200m five runs back rates well as a leading chance. With luck in the running after jumping from a wide draw can bring up the hat-trick. DYNALLEY (3) stayed on well when finishing fifth of 12 over 1400m last time. He drops back in class and racing over a longer trip is well worth an each-way ticket. GREEN MANDARIN (4) resumes from a spell and is having his first run from the Juan Nel stable. He finished second in his only attempt over this course and distance. He has placed previously when produced fresh-up and is worth considering. WILLIAM THE FIRST (7) fought on well last start to finish a neck second over 1600m at Fairview All Weather. He has won two of his last five starts and looks well placed here to record another victory.
