I Am The Empire and Prime Impact to roll forward and set up a solid tempo. I AM THE EMPIRE (3) had been racing well but went to a new level last start when he led all the way and put panels on his BM78 rivals over 2200m at Doomben. Has his share of weight but if he bowls along in front and builds momentum he will be tough to cut down again. PESHMERGA (1) went to the lead but lacked a kick and finished midfield over 1600m at Warwick Farm last time out. Looking for this trip now and should be peaking at the fourth run back. FAY'S ANGELS (4) found some form last Saturday when a close second to Medatsu over this trip at Rosehill. Very fit mare who makes plenty of appeal on the six-day turnaround. ARISTONOUS (2) has been in the money at his last couple in slightly longer trips at Warwick Farm. Might be the big improver with blinkers on for the first time. OUR BAMBINO (5) didn't measure up in the Port Macquarie Cup last Friday but this looks a little easier so he is not out of it. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hard to go past I Am The Empire.
