HOWDY (8) has just found one better at all three runs this time in, beaten narrowly at Bendigo in this grade last start. Drawn wide here hurts his chances as he's likely to go back but he has claims. GANGITANO (3) has been good in two runs back and just missed at Cranbourne over this trip last time. Should be at peak fitness now and can take some catching. DESERT STAR (4) can mix his form but had excuses last time and can bounce back. REPRISAL (6) is working towards a win, the latest effort a solid second over 1300m at Bendigo. Rates a danger.
