The Milkybar Kid has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. ALMA RISE (10) fought on courageously fresh up over 1800m at Sandown-Hillside nearly 3 weeks ago when finishing second. She is a nice stayer in the making and will relish the extra 250m on offer here. She drops in class and should be the one to beat this time. AKROTIRI (4) has needed both of his runs back from a spell and there will be no excuses with his fitness third up. The longer journey will suit him and a form reversal is on the cards. BULAWAYO (6) let down strongly to score comfortably at Mornington last time out and will relish the extra 450m on offer here. Stick with him. THE GENIUS (2) is a progressive gelding who won fresh up at Cranbourne over 2060m just over 6 weeks ago. He is an each-way threat again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Alma Rise to win.
