Genuine pace headed by Pony Soprano from his wide alley. GALANO (2) has been gelded and returns from a seven-month lay-off. Formerly with Team Hawkes and now in the Messara/Gavranich stable. Showed ability in Victoria last prep, highlighted by a comfortable win in a Class 1 over 1500m at Sandown. Trialling well and looks set for a positive return. HIGHLY TEMPTED (13) raced handy but lacked a kick when midfield last Friday over 1200m at Port Macquarie. Trotted in at his only run at this track back in August. Capable of a much better run. Five-year-old WHERE'STHEPROFIT (9) is unbeaten in two starts but faces his acid test today. Hard to knock but each-way looks the best option. PONY SOPRANO (14) is a promising three-year-old lining up for only the third time. Capable of going to a new level. MERRY MAC BOY (5) is a strong first-up performer and must be included coming off a 19-week break. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Galano first-up for the new yard.
