From the outside gate Wilderness Star can cross and take up the running. BETTER EXPLAIN (5) scored two runs ago at Muswellbrook then got too far back and was never in the hunt over 1800m at Port Macquarie last start. Better placed back to this trip. Nicely in after the claim and worth another chance in this even contest. ROSSY'S TYPA GIRL (6) came from last to finish fifth last Friday in an eye-catching effort over 1500m at Port Macquarie. Races well here at this trip and should be peaking at the third run back. SUBUKI (15) wound up impressively to get up for third at her latest appearance over 1800m at Port Macquarie. Very good miler who gets all the favours from the inside alley. THE YOUNG YEARS (11) won over the mile here three starts back. Needed the run when unplaced at Rosehill three weeks ago. Each-way chance. OAKFIELD REDGUM (1) didn't do much first-up at Newcastle but might surprise out to this more suitable journey. SUGGESTED PLAY: Better Explain each-way in a difficult race.
