Even contest. CENTURY SONG (3) settled just off the pace then finished too well under 62kgs in a BM64 over this distance at Kembla last start. Has now raced eight times at 1000m for three wins and four minor placings. Ideally drawn so Tommy Berry should enjoy the run of the race. Capable of bringing that good form to town. RANTAN (5) has been freshened up since finishing just 1.2 lengths away in a strong form race over this trip at Randwick 39 days ago. Handy mare who gets in nicely after Fitzgerald's claim. OCCULT (8) ended a run of indifferent form with a narrow victory over 1100m at Scone recently. Raced just once over 1000m and got the cash. Genuine sprinter who won't be far away again. SHALL BE (1) came to town last start and did well to hang on for third at Canterbury over 1100m. On-pacer who might be tough to catch with blinkers on for the first time today. The speedy VELLA'S BEST (6) has won four from seven at this journey and his recent figures stack up well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Century Song each-way.
