Mr Vexatious has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. SHAMUS IN PONTIVY (9) was a sharp improver at Murray Bridge last time off a 40-day freshen, rattling home late to just miss. Expect her to settle closer this time and under the lightweight she will prove very tough to hold out. POLAR EYES (8) is knocking on the door but needs to find the killer instinct. Drawn sticky but deserves respect. MR VEXATIOUS (5) couldn't get the job done as favourite last time but was far from disgraced. Will land on speed again and give backers a sight. PARINGA (7) worked home strongly over the concluding stages to finish midfield. Better for that and could improve sharply. DIRTY DEAL (2) failed to live up to market expectation on debut but is another that is a likely improver. SUGGESTED PLAY: Shamus In Pontivy to win.
