Fast pace assured with Wokou, Poseidon's Son and Calico Miss leading the charge. EJECT (1) returns from a 161-day spell and is now in the Stirling Osland stable. Best Victorian form when in the Freedman stable included a first-up win two preps back over 1000m at Ballarat synthetic. Good enough to test these. SHARPEN THE KNIVES (6) was poor over 1250m at Gunnedah after a fine return from a break the run prior over this distance at Armidale. Draws a lovely gate and is well in after the claim so can make amends. CALICO MISS (4) started warm favourite on debut and gave nothing else a chance over 1200m at Quirindi. Promising filly who is a major player again despite coming back in trip against better opposition. POSEIDON'S SON (2) resumes. Good fresh performer who is trialling in fine style and looks sure to play a significant role. BEAN ALL OVA (10) off a thirty-two-day freshen up for a new stable is one to monitor for market support.
