Pace looks to be genuine with Forty Star and Jive Talk matching motors in advance of Coral King and After Review. FORTY STAR (5) was responsible for a solid effort last time out when second at this track over 1200m, beaten a neck. Cherry-ripe now. Winning rider Takayuki Yano sticks and rates a leading contender. JIVE TALK (1) is a progressive galloper who is first-up since finishing fourth over 1200m at Monbetsu eight months ago. Has never missed the frame when fresh from a spell in two starts. Should park just off the speed and will give a great sight. CORAL KING (7) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at this venue, finishing second and only 1.3 lengths from the winner at the end of 1200m after being in contention on the corner. Perfectly placed and is sure to be there at the finish. FRIENDLY SHIP (6) finished fifth at this course and distance at her last appearance four-and-a-half months ago. Looks one of the genuine hopes in this contest.
