Gimme's Lassie, Montelena and Back For More to battle for the early lead at a slick tempo. GIMME'S LASSIE (1) showed good speed over 1100m on this course last time but was outrun late. She will have no issues with the rise to 1300m as she has won over 1400m previously. From her good draw of three she can go one better. MONTELENA (2) is the stable companion of the top selection. Her last two starts on this course have been decent enough. Rates well as an each-way chance. BACK FOR MORE (3) should have finished closer to the winner last time as she was tightened for running room with 300m to run. Ready to win after a solid effort last time out. ELLORIX (4) after winning two straight didn't do a bad job when finishing second of 10 last start over 1200m at Fairview when sent out as the favourite. Can atone.
