Just a moderate pace anticipated. The Kris Lees-trained RUSTEMO (10) returns from a five-month spell and has been gelded. Showed ability last prep, including a very close second at Newcastle at the latest appearance. Yet to race on a good track but trialled in pleasing style recently and looks ready for a strong campaign. CHELSEA (1) resumes. Transferred from Waller to Glen Milligan last prep and only raced once, a failure at this track in heavy going. Worth another chance on top of the ground. PASSALACQUA (4) last raced when well held over 1250m at Newcastle in April. Trialling well and on his best form can be very competitive. OAKFIELD UNIVERSE (8) returns for a second preparation. In the money on debut, then failed in heavy ground. Placed in a recent trial so appears set to run well. RUSSIAN ESCAPE (6) returns from a break and has had a change of stables. Blinkers go straight on so a market watch is advised. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tricky race with so many resuming or debuting - leaning to Rustemo.
