Genuine pace with Blueridge taking up the running ahead of Gioia Magica and Khando. GIPPSY GOD (1) ran on strongly last time out on this track over 1800m, but had to settle for second, just a short-head off winning. He will be close to peak fitness third up, and if the gaps come at the right time, he can go one better. ZACABASSO (10) battled into fourth over 1600m at Matamata four weeks ago on a track that was just too heavy and holding. She steps up in distance today, which will suit her, and she is good enough to figure in the top 3. BLUERIDGE (5) has finished fifth in each of his starts to date at Te Aroha. He raced greenly in front last start, and he should be a lot more settled third up. Don't risk him. SNOWFLAKE (11) ran on late over 1400m fresh. Stick with her. SUGGESTED PLAY: Zacabasso each-way.
