GOING: G(4)

JOHN OXLEY VOLKSWAGEN BENCHMARK 66 HANDICAP 1000m

Track: Good 4   Rain (Max: 26)   Rail: True.

Expecting De Poet to take up the running with Queen Of A Hand and Take The Jackpot close at hand. QUEEN OF A HAND (8) made it two from two this prep when she led all the way and easily accounted for a Class 3 field over this trip at Taree last time out. Won't find this as tough and has been lucky at the barrier draw yet again. Big chance to chalk up the hat trick. GREY EFFECTS (6) has been freshened up since taking out a Class 3 over today's journey at Coffs Harbour five weeks ago. Subsequent trial winner who can add to his impressive tally of wins this time in work. BUCK PHAROAH (2) is down in class on recent runs. Four-time winner here and this is his pet trip. Sure to prove hard to beat although very few win with 65kgs. BODGIE (4) drops in class on recent efforts. Draws a nice gate and Newman's claim brings him in well. TAKE THE JACKPOT (11) showed a stack of speed and stuck on well when resuming over 900m at Newcastle last start. Big chance with a repeat of that effort. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Queen Of A Hand.
