Genuine tempo with the speedy Pacheco crossing from the outside gate. I'M A DIRTY RASCAL (1) will be peaking third up from a spell, and will relish getting out to 2600m. He wouldn't mind some cut in the ground, and the key to a form reversal will be having Bruno Queiroz in the saddle. Watch closely. GOLDEN (9) has been thereabouts in all 3 starts this prep on the poly track at Cambridge. She was a solid fourth over 2000m there two-and-a-half weeks ago, and will be seasoned enough to cope with 2600m for the first time. Each way. KENNY (8) is a very progressive staying type who closed well to grab third over 2200m at Te Rapa nearly 4 weeks ago over 2200m. He is rock-hard fit and will be very hard to hold out here, especially on a wet track. DANCIN IN THE DARK (3) is having his best campaign yet, winning 3 of his last 5 starts, including his last run at Ruakaka just over 5 weeks ago. Stick with him on an each-way basis. HOOTIE JOHNSON (15) is a dour type who will be suited by 2600m. He will look likely at some stage, and can plug into a top 3 finish. SUGGESTED PLAY: I'm A Dirty Rascal at each-way value.
