Genuine tempo with Seychelles and Akari Spirit pressing for the lead. SEYCHELLES (12) hit the line strongly on debut at Geelong which saw her well backed in the Oaks Preview at Flemington last time out. The tempo there was farcically slow and no real guide, but trusting the market there and her overall profile back to a suitable maiden race. SCOOP THE POOL (9) is coming along nicely, boxing on well when in the market at Kembla Grange last time out. Bred to stay so this trip should suit nicely now and he'll take running down. AKARI SPIRIT (8) was poor in the Derby Preview last time but the debut was encouraging and this is much easier. AFRICAN GREY (1) son of The Autumn Sun from Chanteuse on debut. Watch for any market moves. SUGGESTED PLAY: Seychelles to win.
