Lack of early speed means Tassron could find the lead. KNOBELAS (6) looks the one and is unsurprisingly short in early betting. Her debut effort here over 1400m was very good despite being beaten as a $2.20 favourite, running on strongly from back in the field to grab second. Looks beautifully suited getting to a mile now and with natural improvement she'll be too strong late. TASSRON (5) is the main danger. He's placed in all three runs to date, just finding one better over this route last time out. Can push on to find a good spot and go close. FIFTY CALIBRE (2) is a gelding by Belardo on debut for the Price & Kent Jnr yard, very similarly bred to stablemate and favourite Knobelas. This looks a nice race for him to kick off in. HARRATA (4) debuted in the same race as Knobelas and was okay in a midfield finish with scope to improve. SUGGESTED PLAY: Knobelas to win.
