GOOD LUCK THE WEST TAIERI PREMIERS 1600m

Track: HVY9     Out 3m from 1900m to 900m, Out 6m from the 900m to 350m, Remainder True

Moderate tempo with Stout leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. GLOBAL JEWEL (2) has improved in each of her 3 starts to date, including a strong maiden win here a month ago. She is bred to continue to get better with more time, and another bold run is expected. Each way. MAMAEA (4) was very disappointing as the favourite at Ascot Park 8 days ago, when settling a long way back off a wide gate at Ascot Park. She is usually ridden a lot closer to the speed, and she is worth another chance. Follow your money. BOWLER (8) is ready now fourth up to show some form. The drop in trip is no problem, and Corey Campbell is in form. Each way value. MARELLA MISS (3) can mix her form, but she is fit, and she is good enough to figure in the finish here. STOUT (7) and UNUSUAL AFFAIR (11) are also top 4 chances in a wide-open last leg of the quaddie. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bowler at some good odds can win this.
