SATONO STAR (2) ran on late when finishing fourth on debut at Pukekohe 4 weeks ago over 1400m. The extra 200m is ideal, and he can figure in the top 3 this time. ALMAN D'ORO (5) is a staying bred gelding making his debut over 1600m, and the Walker/Bergerson stable has given him plenty of trial experience. The market moves will be our best guide. Each way. PUNCHING (6) has looked good at the trials over distances that were too short for him. He makes his debut from the Astute Myers stable, and once again, the market will tell the full story.
