Decent sized field but it lacks any obvious pace. WINNING ALL ROUND (9) trialled well here and then was first past the post over 1400m at Balaklava on debut, and was relegated to second by stewards due to alleged interference. Despite the awkward gate, he can make amends in this lineup. MANDARIN (10) resumed over 1420m at Naracoorte, beaten a half length. Finally has a low gate, and the improved mare should be right in it. SAYERSITISN'TSO (7) resumes for a smart stable, and just missed in a recent 1000m trial at Balaklava. Has a low barrier, and Toeroek stays aboard. He had no luck in his brief maiden preparation, and a bold return is likely. THE BLACK HARP (8) debuts and is also in good hands. Has been well educated, but Pannell has a wide barrier to manage. Worth a betting watch regardless. SUGGESTED PLAY: Winning All Round can make amends.
