Performed well last time out to finish just 1.5 lengths from the winner in second over 1580m at this track after being in contention on the corner. Strong claims. TAMA ESPOIR (2) showed good speed here last time until tiring late. Had finished top-two in his other three starts this time in so is worth another chance. CROSS RATE (3) turned in a fine effort to score by a head at today's course and distance last start to maintain his good form of late. Contender. KIRA KAIDO (10) is building towards a win with placings at his last two runs, the latest effort a second at this course and distance when beaten 2.5 lengths. In the mix again.
