GOING: S(7)

WOODVILLE LIONS CLUB 2200m

Track: SOFT 7     True

A strong tempo is anticipated. FOURTY EIGHT (1) is an exciting jumper who resumed with a powerful win as the favourite in a similar field at Waverley nearly 3 weeks ago. He cops an extra 2.5kg, but he will relish the extra 550m, and he can win again. JUSTICE (2) let down boldly and won easily at Matamata over 1600m there 2 weeks ago. He has 2.5kg less to carry here, and he can repeat the dose. RED NED (4) sat on the pace, and then lengthened nicely to score an easy win at Hawera 12 days ago over 2100m. He benefits from a 3kg claim, and he is expected to go right on with the job now. LORD SPENCER (8) has put in a couple of bottlers to start this campaign, and he won't have to improve by much from his last start second behind the third pick to be hard to beat in this. HILL OF KINGS (10) is another progressive jumper resuming, and he has enough dash on the flat to be a threat here. Check his condition in the yard. SUGGESTED PLAY: Fourty Eight can win.
