The race lacks early speed so doubt they will go too hard. FOREVER A DIAMOND (12) raced mostly in town last preparation and resumed improved, beaten a nose over 1100m at Murray Bridge from the speed. Had support at The Parks following, and didn't manage the awkward barrier. Presents fitter again and with better luck can take it out. MINYA MURRA (14) had her second start and improved sharply, beaten 0.9L over 1950m at Balaklava. The gate is a little sticky today, but she won't have to improve much to fight out the finish. DASHING FOUNTAIN (4) debuts owning two recent trial wins, and Murtagh stays aboard. Has an outside barrier but he may be good enough to manage. The betting deserves close monitoring with him. ROADKING (5) jumped a 3F at Balaklava on debut but raced greenly throughout (vet cleared). He's obviously been showing plenty, and will have taken fitness and learning. SUGGESTED PLAY: Forever A Diamond to win.
