Expecting a strong pace from the outset with plenty of speed engaged. AVANTAGGIA (5) is royally bred, and she drove through late when scoring a gritty win at Otaki just over 2 weeks ago, and she will have Opie Bosson back in the saddle for this suitable assignment. She has kept on improving with each start, and she can take the next step here. MAZINO (8) has not put a foot wrong since winning her maiden very easily 3 starts back at Waverley. She has only been claimed late in her last couple of runs, and off a freshen up with 200m less to travel, she can take them all the way in this. ZIVOU (2) won his first 2 starts this year, and has since been fair in a couple of stakes races on this track. His last run was just over 7 weeks ago, and he is perfectly placed back in this company to bounce straight back into form. Each way. LANDLOCK (1) still has a lot to learn, and his effort for fourth at Trentham a month ago was very encouraging. If the track is wet, then he has top 3 claims. YOKOZUNA (3) strips fitter second up, and he is worth including. SUGGESTED PLAY: Avantaggia can win this, and Landlock is a top 3 chance on a wet track.
