Plenty of pressure on from the outset. PRIME VENTURE (12) returns from a spell and is having his first run from the Barend Botes stable. Both his career victories have come over this distance. It is encouraging that Gavin Lerena rides and from his good draw of four, he may be the one to beat. EIFFEL TOWER (9) was running on well when second over this course and distance last time. He drops back in class and merits healthy respect. BIRTHRIGHT (3) stayed on well at the finish over 1450m on the Inside course last time. He won his only attempt over this course and distance. He has a good draw of two and he can return to winning form. KING OF NUMBERS (5) ran below expectations last time at Vaal, finishing seventh. Best figures measure up and he can atone.
