Certain to be a strong tempo with Resurgence, Swiss Walt and William The First leading the charge. COASTAL PATH (4) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just two times from 23 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fourth over 1200m at this track. Best figures measure up nicely and with Richard Fourie in the saddle makes plenty of appeal. GUARDING THE WALL (8) finished 4 lengths from the winner in sixth last start over 1200m at Kenilworth, an improvement on his t10th at Kenilworth the run before. Finds the right race this time and can take this out. RESURGENCE (1) broke through for his maiden win over 1200m at Fairview All Weather last time, scoring easily. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Looks well placed and he should be in the finish again. WILLIAM THE FIRST (3) last appeared when he finished 13th over 1600m at Kenilworth. Now under the care of new trainer Gavin Smith and fresh-up is worth plenty of thought.
