Pace on from the outset with Aquilanova, Chimed and Shogun Express going forward ahead of Go Irish. CHIMED (2) ran a much better race last start at Swan Hill when third over 2400m. The second horse out of that race has won since and he'll have no issue stepping up further to the 2600m here. Should be hard to hold out. SHOGUN EXPRESS (6) is a lightly raced type who has been getting better with more ground, beaten a neck at Moe over 2439m last start. Has upside and will take beating. THE PRECURSOR (7) is a lightly raced 3yo gelding who was good out to 2100m at Ballarat Synthetic last start. Should relish this trip now and must be respected for the Maher yard. CARASHAN CHLOE (10) is in the mix off a solid third at Cranbourne last time. GO IRISH (4) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Chimed on top.
