Small field but expecting a genuine tempo with plenty of pace engaged. DELAGO LAD (2) took a couple of runs to hit his straps this prep and has now won 2 of his last 3 starts, including his run here a fortnight ago in the same grade. He only has to carry an extra 1.5 kilos and should be winning again. ANGELLUCCIS (3) is a handy mare who made steady progress through the grades in her last campaign. She is resuming at the right level and though she normally needs a run, the small field will help and so will the perfect inside barrier. Watch closely. IL DON CAVALLO (5) was an easy winner of his penultimate run and then had no luck at all behind the top pick in the same race last time out. He has a good chance to improve his distance stats in this. ARROGANT MISS (4) is a very versatile local mare who was runner-up behind the top pick last time out. She is better off at the weights this time and should finish closer as a result. Each way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Il Don Cavallo each way.
