Genuine tempo with the speedy Little Sister leading the way. POPPING BERRY (7) is returning from a spell of ten weeks. Finished fourth at Sonoda over 1400m at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Hiromichi Iida. Leading contender. BULK UP (6) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1400m at Mizusawa, beaten only 1.75 lengths. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is right in contention. RE RE BOARD (5) is yet to break through but not far off a win. Placed two back then missed the frame but was thereabouts last time over 1400m at Mizusawa. Has ability and expected to feature. LITTLE SISTER (9) took up the running and turned in front but faded to finish seventh, over this journey at Mizusawa last start. Solid top-three prospects.
