SAF - TURFFONTEIN STANDSIDE   30 Jun 2024

GOING: G

TAB TELEBET 0861 000 822 JUVENILE PLATE 1160m

Track: GOOD   Clear (Max: 17)   Zero on the back straight to 6,5m on the bend with a 6,5m spur at the 700m mark.

Strong early tempo assured with Pistol Pete, Bjorn Ironside and Wolf Mountain locking horns. BJORN IRONSIDE (2) was super-impressive when winning his maiden at the third time of asking, over this course and distance. Gavin Lerena retains the ride and the combination should prove hard to beat. PISTOL PETE (1) should have finished closer to the winner last time out. He has won twice and finished third once from as many starts on this course. Rates well as an each-way chance. WOLF MOUNTAIN (3) showed good speed when winning his maiden over 1100m last time. He is a progressive type and should be figuring in the finish. COPPER CLIFF (6) started at big odds on debut last start when finishing fourth over 1100m at this track. Likely improver who is among the better chances.
