Big Max and Pacific Sonic have the pace to take up the running at a solid tempo. BIG MAX (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1200m at this track, beaten 1.75 lengths into fifth after being in the firing line on the turn. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. CAPTAIN SINGAPORE (1) was racing well without winning, finishing in the money on two consecutive occasions, before finishing seventh last time out over 1200m on the all-weather. Gets his chance to atone. THE WILD FIRE (5) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing fourth and beaten only 1.5 lengths over 1200m at this track when he did his best work late. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. CENTURION (6) was below his best last time, finishing sixth and beaten 1.75 lengths over 1200m at this track. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
