Chou Cream and Lady Melora should lock horns early at a strong tempo. Grade 3 placegetter CAN SEE ANGEL (2) last appeared on April 6 when a good fifth over 1200m at Hanshin, beaten 2.75 lengths, which was her only run of the campaign. Rates highly and makes plenty of appeal while fresh. SMART JANA (17) returned from a spell two weeks ago when she was in the firing line on the corner before being beaten 1.4 lengths into fourth over 1400m at Kyoto. Fitter and sure to run well. ITSUMO NIKONIKO (10) was in the firing line on the bend and finished second last start at the first run back from a spell over 1200m at Kyoto, beaten 1.3 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again. ASTI SPUMANTE (6) resumes today after filling a minor placing at her only appearance last prep at Fukushima over 1200m on April 13. Has to be respected.
