Certain to be a strong tempo with Antonio Gaudi, Bacchus and Captain Snowball leading the charge. DIWALI ROCKET (4) showed improvement when third in his last start over 1600m on this course. He stayed on nicely at the finish and he should be the one to beat. BACCHUS (2) ran a fair race on debut over 1200m at the Vaal. He would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected should pose a threat. ORANGE COUNTY (8) is an unraced son of Flower Alley from the Stuart Pettigrew stable with Calvin Habib in the saddle. If not too green in running, he should give a good account of himself. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances. MILAN'S WORLD (7) turned in a moderate debut over 1200m at Vaal on June 4 when he was safely held in fifth, 7 lengths from the winner. Open to plenty of improvement. Expected to do much better.
