Plenty of pace from the outset with Basilis and G T America leading the charge. ARC D'OR (5) has been in the money at his last couple of runs, the latest when second over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt. Not a great deal of depth to this race so he looks a great chance to break through. EIYU FIRE (4) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 14 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fourth over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt, beaten 13 lengths. Placed to advantage so expect a big run. BASILIS (9) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at this track, finishing second and only 1.75 lengths from the winner at the end of 1800m after being in contention on the corner. Nicely placed to take this out. G T AMERICA (8) improved second-up last start but found a couple better over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt, beaten 7 lengths. No surprise to see him in contention.
