Cracking tempo looks assured with many of these capable of pushing on early. OUTBACK BANDIT (4) was well fancied when resuming last start over 1000m at Barcaldine when third. Good record at this journey with two wins and four minor placings from nine starts and will be ready to run a big race today. DARK GLEAM (1) is having his first run since October 18. Goes very well when fresh with two wins from three starts, the latest over 1200m at Sunshine Coast at the start of last prep. Expect him to pose a serious challenge. GRANITE PRINCE (2) turned in a moderate run over this journey last time out, settling in a rearwards position and failing to make an impact when sixth over 1200m at Thangool. Tackling a more suitable race this time so he is one of the main contenders. NEW LEVEL (3) scored two back at this track but was below his best last time when fifth over 1300m at Mackay.
