Expecting a strong gallop with Free Carry and Aratiri taking up the running over Just Flying.
ECLAIR AWESOME (7) came with a perfectly timed run to break back into the winner's list last start over the extended mile at Doomben. Has been in work for a while but is holding his form. Steps up to Saturday grade but the ratings say he is up to the task. JUST FLYING (5) appreciated the drop in grade when runner-up over 1820m at this track last time out. Has a solid record at this distance with five top three finishes from seven attempts. Maps beautifully and should have plenty to offer late. LUPINE (6) was most impressive over this course and distance at his latest appearance, coming from near the tail on the corner to just land the prize. Up in class but drops 2.5kgs with an in-form apprentice to steer. In contention again. FACUNDO (4) has been thereabouts at all three runs this prep. Gets to this distance for the first time and the shades go on. Cannot be ruled out. CHO OYU (2) is building a formidable record. Just needs to run a strong mile to test this field. SUGGESTED PLAY: Eclair Awesome each-way.
