GOING: S(5)

MYRACEHORSE 1600m

Track: SOFT 5     Out 8.5m

Plenty of pace from Celtic Tycoon, Trafalgar and Burnerphone matching motors ahead of Hayworth. NAVY ENSIGN (2) made the most of a positive ride when breaking through for an overdue maiden win at Pukekohe 15 days ago. He can make full use of his perfect inside gate, and he loses nothing by having Opie Bosson take over the reins. On top again. CELTIC TYCOON (1) franked a solid debut effort for fifth, with a comfortable win at Pukekohe just over 3 weeks ago. He will relish the extra 200m, and he can repeat the dose. TRAFALGAR (3) set the pace at Waverley when making his debut, and proved to be too strong, scoring by more than a length as the favourite. He will have no issue racing in a clockwise direction, and he will be hard to peg back again. HAYWORTH (8) bolted in at Tauherenikau nearly 2 weeks ago, and his trainer is no stranger to trekking his team to this track and winning races. This field has more depth, but he can measure up again. BURNERPHONE (5) cannot be faulted for her consistency, and she has winning form on this track. Each way all day. SUGGESTED PLAY: Navy Ensign can win again.
