Griffon and Takeru Hurlock should set a strong clip. TAKERU HURLOCK (6) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing second and beaten only half a length over 1400m at this track after being prominent at the corner. Finds a suitable race and can build on that solid recent effort. Z SPUNKY (7) did a good job when fresh from a spell last time out, finishing second and beaten only 1.75 lengths over 1200m at this track when he did his best work late. Strips fitter and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. GABBY'S BROTHER (5) is a progressive galloper who is first-up since finishing ninth over 1400m at Chukyo Dirt eight months ago which was the only run of that prep. Should be involved in the finish. T O MILLIKAN (4) came home strongly last start to finish second, beaten one length, over 1200m at Chukyo Dirt when coming back from a break. Should be winding up late again.
