Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Robran. DARKEN (2) was below his best last time out when eighth over 1600m at Albury. Back in trip with the claim and has solid winning claims. AMPLE TIME (6) snagged back early and chipped away late with an even sixth over 1600m at Wagga. Kept fresh and will prove hard to hold out over this trip. BOUND TO FIRE (4) is yet to make any real impression since resuming but jumps back in trip off a 46-day freshen and is open to sharp improvement. Don't dismiss. GO GAZZA (7) backs up quickly after doing his best work late five days ago at the Sapphire Coast. Will appreciate the added trip and is one to watch for late. SUGGESTED PLAY: Darken to win.
