CRACK A DEEL (2) was well held in the Moonee Valley Vase won by Observer over 2040m at Moonee Valley at his last appearance five months ago. Won a Maiden by 4.3L over 2000m at Warrnambool prior and has won fresh. Blinkers come off and kicking off over 1600m in the country can give it a shake. IMMORTAL JUSTICE (12) raced just off the lead before letting down nicely and scoring a 0.8 lengths win over this journey at Ararat in Maidens. That was deserved and from an inside gate is sure to measure up again. SOUND OF JURA (1) is a distance specialist who is progressing well this preparation. Scored by a nose last time out over 1600m at Albury and an equal favourite and is still well shy of his best. Solid top-three prospects. FINAL QUARTER (14) is third-up and up to the 1600m should be ready to show more like her best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Crack A Deel if the betting suggests stable confidence.
