Slick pace with Able Warrior finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. FORTIS IN ARMIS (2) finished just shy of the frame in fourth last start over 1750m at this track, an improvement on his fast-finishing sixth at this track the run before. Drops slightly in grade and gets in well with the 2kg claim. Leading player. BONA FIDE STAR (4) continues to leave himself with too much to do but has been savaging the line. Drops back in trip but should find this a fraction easier. If he's close enough when turning, he will prove tough to stop. HE'S ABEL (5) is going better than his form reads and the engagement of Rochelle Milnes is a positive move. This doesn't look as hard so he should be very competitive. EL EXPLOSIVO (1) recorded his first win last start over 1200m at Penong, getting home by 1.2 lengths. Jade Doyle was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. This is tougher but he cannot be underestimated. FLYING STEP (6) is warming and can pop up today. SUGGESTED PLAY: Fortis In Armis to win.
