ARVERNI PRINCESS (2) was going okay prior to finishing 7 lengths back in sixth last start over 1000m at Turffontein Standside. Jacey Botes has a strong winning record aboard the five-year-old mare so she can improve sharply. IN THE BAG (6) has been thereabouts lately without being able to break through, the latest effort a second at Greyville All Weather over 1200m. Great chance to finally return to the winners' circle. PURPLE POWAHOUSE (4) finished fourth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1000m at this track, beaten a long neck. Finds a suitable race and can go on to take this out. CALL OF THE KAROO (7) turned in another moderate effort last start when 7 lengths from the winner in ninth over 1000m at Fairview All Weather. Capable of featuring prominently.
