Genuine tempo from Himeros leading Nugget Smart. Competitive. LAGOON (8) got off the mark over 1600m at this track last start, scoring by a long neck. Van Der Hoven retains the ride and the mare is a big chance to go back-to-back. THE BENTLEY (5) broke Maidens over 1400m at Tamworth last start and maps for a soft run. She won't have to improve much to make the finish. ALARTHILL (9) was a Muswellbrook Maiden winner two back and that stacks up. MAXIMUM RIDE (2) was outgraded at Scone but won his Maiden over 1400m at this track prior. Has the inside gate and the blinkers on for the first time. NUGGET SMART (3) made good improvement over 1400m at Tamworth and keeps the handy 3kg claim. Fitter again and consider. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lagoon appeals most.
